Saint Simon
Saint Simon—“the Zealot”, brother of James and Jude. Simon is listed among the apostles waiting for the coming of the Holy Spirit, which affirms his lasting loyalty to Jesus. Simon preached with his brother Jude in Egypt and Persia. In Mesopotamia he suffered martyrdom for his faith. Feast day: October 28 Symbol: saw, used in his death
