African American Catholics for Canonization

Black History Month

Did you know that there are currently no canonized African American saints? There are, however, six Black Americans currently being considered for canonization.

Join the St. Matthias Justice and Charity Commission for a celebration of four of six candidates for sainthood during Black History Month.

Monday evenings, 7:00-8:00 PM in Fr. Lacey Hall for a film, discussion, and hospitality. Learn about these inspiring individuals who prevailed in professing the gospel of Christ amidst the omnipresent challenges of racism in their time.
