Ribbons of Gratitude

The Ribbons of Gratitude

From now until Thanksgiving we will continue to acclaim and celebrate those individuals, those moments, those experiences for which we are grateful. After all weekend Masses participants will have the opportunity to reflect and express their thanksgiving by writing on ribbons the names of individuals, occasions, or circumstances during the past eighteen months for which they are grateful. These ribbons will be tied to the wrought iron fencing outside the church as an acknowledgement of our abundance of gratitude. They will serve as a reminder to ourselves and our community that we are truly alive because our hearts are conscious of the blessed treasures we have received. What better way to live out the Eucharist than to give thanks for these many blessings!
