Before You Volunteer
VOLUNTEER SAFETY COMPLIANCE
All volunteers who work with children must meet BOTH fingerprint AND training requirements.
All volunteers at St. Charles Parish must be fingerprinted in the LiveScan system.
Simply take the school LiveScan form to a UPS Store and be fingerprinted. Make a copy of your completed form for your records. If you have any questions or seek assistance with any part of the LiveScan process, please contact the parish office. Thank you for your compliance with this program!
Once you are in the LiveScan system (fingerprinting database), complete the VIRTUS Online training program.
All volunteers MUST complete the Virtus Online training program, Protecting God's Children.
Because the Archdiocese of San Francisco has initiated this NEW program, ALL volunteers and parents of students who plan to participate in volunteer programs MUST complete this training. This new online training program has been adopted for all employees and volunteers in Catholic School communities. To register, simply follow the steps in the directions to register, or begin the registration process by clicking the Virtus online link below:

As the primary educators of their children, parents have a duty to provide adequate information, appropriate to each child or young person’s individual state of development. This is the core principle upon which all of our resources and programs involving the instruction of children are designed. Through these programs caring adults become partners with parents to ensure that all young people are protected and have the tools they need to protect themselves.
