Caring Hands Reception Ministry
In 2001, members of the Italian Catholic Federation (ICF) organized its members to provide “Caring Hands” for families dealing with the loss of a loved one. Until December 2016, the ICF provided and hosted receptions for families and friends after a Funeral or Memorial Mass.
Now, the wonderful work of Caring Hands is transitioning to become a ministry provided by the parish, now called Caring Hands Reception Ministry.
There are many opportunities for our parishioners to contribute to this rewarding ministry, and are asking YOU to consider participating. When arranging for a reception, we shall need assistance to plan and procure goods, to set-up Borromeo Hall, to serve our families and guests, and, finally, to clean up. We definitely have a job for everyone!
The Caring Hands Reception Ministry is seeking volunteers for procurement, set-up, serving and clean-up subcommittees. Volunteerism will not necessarily involve a large time commitment, as receptions will be scheduled with a minimum of 3 days notice.
Any questions or suggestions may be referred to Donna MacKay (650-575-6471) or Chris King (650-868-6803).
