lives! Help build wells across the world. (Everytime we take a drink of fresh,
clean water, we should thank God, pray for those who don't have that gift, and
give money to help build wells for others.)

http://www.medsandfoodforkids.org/ Founded by a doctor from the college I went to! This program is healing malnourished kids in Haiti by providing them with a special peanut butter! This is a food that doesn't spoil, the parents can take it home to feed the kids so they can care for the sick ones and still be there for the rest of their family. Since the peanut butter isn't made with water it doesn't grow bacteria even if someone sticks dirty fingers inside the container. Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere; 80% of the people there live BELOW the poverty level. What a wonderful program. Tell your friends!
http://www.crsfairtrade.org/ Buy Fair Trade! Let's think about the things we buy and the people who brought us those products. Did a child have to work long hours instead of going to school to bring us that coffee, tea, or chocolate? Did the farmer get paid a fair wage or did he/she work hard for hardly nothing? We can make a difference in the lives of others by what we buy...and by what we REFUSE to buy.
Transfair USA is “a non-profit organization based in Oakland, California and is the only independent, third-party certifier of Fair Trade products in the United States. Transfair verifies that Fair Trade principles are being adhered to by auditing U.S. companies and inspecting cooperatives in developing countries.”
Global Exchange is “an international human rights organization dedicated to promoting political, social and environmental justice globally. Since its founding in 1988 in San Francisco, Global Exchange has been working to increase global awareness among the U.S. public while building partnerships around the world.”
Here's a video on the benefits of Fair Trade for chocolate farmers in Ghana
